Four Phases of the Design Process

Discovery & Vision Setting

This phase focuses on understanding the client’s lifestyle, aesthetic preferences, functional needs, and long-term goals. Activities may include site visits, measurements, inspiration gathering, and initial conversations that shape the project’s direction.

Space Planning & Concept Development

During this phase, spatial layouts are developed, and the overarching design concept is created. This includes floor plans, mood boards, colour palettes, and material direction to establish the visual and functional foundation.

Detailed Design & Specifications

This phase refines the concept into a fully detailed design package. It includes technical drawings, elevations, material specifications, furniture selections, lighting plans, and all details required for accurate pricing and implementation.

Implementation

The final phase involves coordinating with trades, overseeing installation, and ensuring the design is executed as intended. This may include site visits, troubleshooting, and final styling to bring the vision to life.
